#DoMore

With a very special thanks to Influenster for providing me with the Do More Voxbox with Degree, I shall begin a quick mini review!

I had received Degree's Motion Sense deodorant in the scent "fresh energy".
It is suppose to have 48 hour protection was is awesome when you are working and on the go a lot like I am.

The scent is very pleasant in my opinion. It smells very fresh and clean, but doesn't smell like powder or a flower, which I prefer. It has not failed me since I started using it and I couldn't be happier. I'm 100% purchasing this next time and getting rid of my old type of deodorant!

Now the "Do More" part. I'm going to exercise more. That means walking, running, dancing, and more. It will be good to add more of that into my life...especially dance. I had danced for 12 years straight and just stopped when I moved. So I say it's time to pick it back up!

Thank you again to Degree and Influenster! Very glad I got to try this product out!

The Great Sephora VIB Sale (Part 3)

Alright! I finally received my final products from the sale! It took a lot longer than expected because my package got lost somewhere during the transfer...buuut it's here now at least thankfully! I ordered this only because the Sephora I go to didn't have some of the items in store and I wasn't up to driving all the way out to the other one so I just sat at home being lazy. (And yes...I bought A LOT while there was the sale...I was trying to fill the emptiness in my heart heehee)

Anyways! For the first item in the section, I purchased the highly talked about single eye shadow from Stila in Kitten.

I've looked at this eye shadow a ton of times and always opted out of buying it but this time I just went for it and I am very pleased I did! It is a great everyday color for me to wear to work. It's a shimmery nude pink but it doesn't look that pink to me so I'm good with it and I love it. I haven't been disappointed yet with these purchases! I wanted to also get the shade Puppy, but I decided to try one first because I wasn't too sure of the products yet, but I would recommend this eye shadow to many people~

The next item I got is a lipstick...again! However, this one is from Kat Von D and it is a very dramatic shade for what I typically wear...so it was an impulse to purchase this one...

I purchased the shade Homegirl which is a deep plum color and looks a lot darker when on the lips...my swatch does it no justice. Now I typically wear nudes and light pinks when it comes to lipstick but I've been wanted to try out a dark shade and I went with this one. I do like how it looked on I just have to play around with it some more until I'm comfortable with it to wear outside! But it went on very smoothly and the pigmentation is great. It didn't dry my lips out and I really do love the color of it. It also reminded me of the lipstick I used to wear for dance competitions but after layering it, those memories gladly went away because I didn't like the lipstick I used to wear...oops. But I've enjoyed Kat Von D  products so far and I'm hoping to get to enjoy one of the newest palettes recently released!

The third item I bought was another Formula X nail polish but this one is a top coat and I waited to make my order just for this because I waited for it to be back in stock and it sold out fast!
This is the Cherry Blossom top coat and I find it to be so cute and perfect for Spring! I didn't get to good of a picture but it just a top coat with different sized pink flowers. I just had to add this to my collection and I'm glad I did. A lot of people complemented on it and I would recommend this to anyone! It's perfect for me especially since I'm too lazy to do nail art! This males up for my laziness and I'm so glad it does.

The very last and final item (finally) for my pretty enormous haul is yet another palette, but I was on the fence about it and I was scared I wouldn't like it even after I ordered it. I must say though, I am glad I went ahead and ordered it!...

Ta-da!!

Yup, that's right! The NARSissist palette by Nars! I had heard so many mixed reviews on this palette and I was unsure and then scared I wouldn't like it even though I desperately wanted to like it...and I ended up just adoring this palette. I know it has one of the full eye shadows I bought during the sale but I said whatever that's just one shade. I think all the shades are very beautiful and they have very good pigmentation. It has a good variety of mattes, shimmers, and velvets. It is pretty large and not too easy to carry around for travel but it was worth it. I can use any of the shades for an everyday look and it's perfect for a natural or smokey eye look. Even looks for special events like a wedding or prom! I would recommend this palette to many people and if you are on the fence about it like I was, go for it! You can always return it and get a refund then purchase something else you would prefer much better!

Overall out of the many, many items I didn't need but bought anyways...I was very pleased with everything! Some things I loved more than other. I didn't get a few things I wanted but that is okay. I do now I am making another purchase here soon because I really want the new Kat Von D Monarch eyeshadow palette! It just looks beautiful! Anyways, I spend too much money but I don't care! I worked for it so I can do what I want as long as I still put some in savings each paycheck. You want make up? Then buy it, don't let others tell you no.

Thank you for reading! And big thanks to the lovely ladies at Sephora who helped me during the sale and making me want to buy much more <3

The Great Sephora VIB Sale (Part 2)

And here we go! As said, I was going to pick up some more items during the sale time when I got paid and oh boy...did I need everything? No of course not. Did I want everything? Yes. I managed to get a few items that I was hoping for and didn't get a few. But let's begin!

The first item is similar to what I got last time...another Nars single eye shadows! This time I purchased the shade Night Star and I love it just as much as the other one I previously purchased!

It is a sheer peachy color with lots of gold glitter in it and I love love love it! It goes on very smoothly and since it is sheer the pigmentation isn't really there but it still looks beautiful. This was not the shade I originally went in for but the Sephora I go to did not carry the shade I wanted so I'll most likely order it or pick it up from another Sephora when I'm by one. Otherwise I am very happy with this one and look foward to trying out more shades for the Nars single eye shadow line.

The next item is another Nars item and like the eye shadow it is not the original shade I went in for but again, the Sephora I go to doesn't carry that shade either. (Curse going to a small JCP...but I still love them because the gals are so sweet!) The item would be a lipstick to add to my small growing collection!

I picked up the shade Dolce Vita and it is just beautiful. It's a real nice sheer dusty rose color and it goes on so smoothly. I had heard so many great things about this shade so I figured I would give it a try and like my other Nars lipsticks, I love it as well! I think this would look good for any skin color or make up look because it's just a basic shade that can complement many people. Plus you can put very lightly on or you can layer that bad baby up! Another great purchase for me.

The next item is from a brand I am not too Familiar with which is Smashbox. I've wanted to try out a new foundation primer because the one I've been using hasn't been working out so well for me but I didn't want to pay for a full size primer and then not like it...so I picked up the Try It Kit!

This lovely kit is perfect for travel and you get to test out a range of different products! It comes with five travel sized items. It includes the Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Photo Finish Lid Primer, Limitless Eyeliner in Onyx, Exposure Mascara in Jet Black, and Lip Enhancing Glass in Illume. I Tested out all five of this in the morning when I was getting ready for work and I enjoyed the majority of the items and believe the kit is worth the try.

  • I really enjoyed the foundation primer. It went on very smoothly and my skin felt soft...plus it looked very well once I put on my foundation! So I look forward to purchasing a full size of that soon when I finish this sample.
  • Now for the lid primer...I didn't really enjoy how thick it felt when I was putting it on, HOWEVER, it works very well and kept my eye shadow in place all day without creasing. I will not be buying a full size of it though and I will stick to using Urban Decay's eye primer.
  • The eyeliner worked very well for me and I feel that I can never have too much eyeliner! It goes on smoothly and worked well on my waterline as well. Will it be my go to eyeliner? Probably not. I prefer purchasing my eye liner from Victoria's Secret because I just love the brown eye liner they carry. But again, can never have too much eye liner and this one is great for travel.
  • The mascara was probably my least favorite only because it really didn't do much of anything different compared to the current mascara I am using. Although great for travel, this probably wont get used very often unless I run out and need a quick backup before I can go buy a new mascara. It didn't clump up which was nice but wasn't anything too spectacular.
  • The lip gloss is actually a very pretty color and though I do not fancy wearing much lip gloss due to the texture, this one is actually very wearable. It goes on smoothly and looks very nice & subtle. Not much else to say on that...
Overall I liked the kit and I would recommend it to anyone who isn't so sure about the brand. I wish more brands actually did this!

The last few items I am going to include as one big set because they all go together. I love painting my nails. I don't do anything fancy but I just love painting them. I've been eyeing the new spring line of Formula X nail polishes and finally decided it was time to get a few.

I also picked up the effect nail polish they had around Christmas as the little ornament since it was on sale and I got my 15% off on it! It is a really pretty top coat if you want to add a little something but not too and the gold flakes look very nice on the spring shade in Dynamic, which is the light taupe shade next to it, which looks beautifully on. Next is Over The Top which is a light green yellow and oh boy...is it bright! Perfect for spring! I also grabbed Inspiring, which is a very pretty turquoise and I absolutely love it! Then finally we have A Little Sexy which is the periwinkle shade at the end and I adore this color on. I would of purchased the pink shade but I do not wear pink nail polish so I opted out of that one.

Was very glad to pick up everything I got during the sale and I took advantage of the sale...and so I am waiting for a couple more items to be shipped to me! And a lot of people would be thing, "oh my...how much has she spent during the sale?" In my opinion I actually didn't spend too much compared to others but I did spend a lot more than planned...oops! I don't regret it though and I am very happy with my purchases. I just hope I don't get let down with one item I'm waiting for because I was on the fence about it so we'll see if I enjoy or will be taking it back!

(I sadly forgot to pick up lip liner like I planned but I'm okay about that)

I will have one more part for the great sale and hopefully the packages will get here in a few days!
Thank you beautifuls and enjoy your day!

The Great Sephora VIB Sale! (Part1)

So as a VIB member with Sephora, I of course got the invite for the VIB event and to get 15% off all purchases between certain dates. I drove all the way to my favorite Sephora and I was on a mission for eye shadow...it was for one certain individual eye shadow and I got it...and a few palettes!

The first item I was originally going in for was one of the Nars single eye shadows because I liked the color and the name, so I decided I'd give it a try since I never used Nars make up other than a few lipsticks.

I actually like the packaging even though I've heard people say it'll get dirty easily and I don't mind as long as my eye shadow stays clean and protected!

But this is the shade Ashes to Ashes and I absolutely love it! I like the name and I find the color to be very gorgeous. It was described as a "violet brown" but its just a very pretty brown to me...others may disagree but I don't really see the violet in it. The pigmentation was amazing with my primer and went on so smoothly, I just...ugh...love it. Overall I loved it, except I cannot justify paying $25 for a single eye shadow but I went ahead and bought it anyways because why not?

The next item I splurged on was the Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection that was just recently released with the three new shades in it. I've had the Chocolate Bar palette for a while and I enjoyed the eye shadows so I figured I would enjoy the other Too Faced palettes as well.

I am a major sucker for nudes and neutral eye shadows so this really reeled me in! I like how it came with the examples to try different looks with each set of three's. All of them went on smoothly and had pretty good pigmentation. My favorite shade would probably be Honey Pot because it's a real pretty golden color and I also really liked Push-Up. This palette is a very convenient size for traveling and over all I am highly glad I bought it.

The 3rd item I purchased this round was the Ammo Palette from Urban Decay. I looked at it so many times and said I would wear half of the shades but I slowly managed to convince myself to buy it because it came with the primer potion and a cute little brush.

I really like the packaging with the skull design on the front and the inside print is so pretty with purples and blues. This is another good sized palette for traveling and The shades are actually a good set to travel with. I highly enjoy the shade Sin and Smog and already own full sizes of those but to my surprise I ended up finding a new favorite within the palette. I swatched Maui Wowie and I loved how it looked. I have yet to use it yet but I plan to in the near future. I also found Mildew to be a very beautiful green shade and I may try that in a look one day!

The final item was one I've been hunting down forever but couldn't find a Sephora that had it in stock. The Tarte's Be MATTEnificent palette!

And to my luck, my favorite Sephora ended up having only one in the store when I went in yay! After having used the Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay for a few months I figured I'd give this one a try and I am very pleased with my decision. I love love love the packing and the sades are so pretty! I love the shade Peach For the Star and View From the Taupe. I thought the names were clever and cute. Again, it is another good sized palette for traveling and has a good variety of shades even a black and brown that can double up as liner. I also enjoy the brush that came along with it and that rare and usually only happened with Urban Decay so I am pleased about that.

Over all I love all the items I bought this trip and I would have bought more but I was on a slight budget. Luckily the last day of this event I get paid and will go pick up a few more item! I know for sure my future sees another Nars single eye shadows and a Nars lipstick as well as some lip liners to pair up with my soon to be order from Melt Cosmetcis!
Thank you to Sephora and all the brands for such beautiful makeup that I can spend all my money on though I don't need anymore <3 I will ALWAYS buy more!

Strobe Cosmetics

So within the past few months after I moved, I discovered a make up brand, only sold online. And boy did I fall for it. Strobe Cosmetics mainly has eye shadows, but there is also nail polish and lip jellies. Also important to note, Strobe Cosmetics is a company that provides cruelty free makeup and is made with the finest quality ingredients, and you can read about it on their website: http://www.strobecosmetics.com/aboutus.asp

There shows the logo for Strobe Cosmetics on their loose eye shadow containers. I personally like the logo...I think it's cute!

Now first I'm going to review the nail polishes I bought from them. I have 8 total.

For the first 3, we have Coralista, Flounder, and Sea Sprite. These three are part of the Gypsy of the Sea collection. Coralista is a nice true coral color but I haven;t worn it too much, but the color is a very pretty color and looks great. Flounder is a basic yellow color and with this one, I had to do a few layers to really get the color to stand out, but it still looked really nice. Sea Sprite is a nice light green color and out of the three, this one is my favorite. I have worn it so much that my mom finally asked me to use it. And I work with my hands all the time so the fact it stays on over a week for me is awesome.

Here we have the other three of the set, Gypsy of the Sea. The colors are Naga, Hydra, and Sea Bitch...yes Sea Bitch and I love that name for it.. For Naga, it's a nice light blue and out of these three, this one is my favorite. I love blue nail polishes so the fact this one was a lighter blue and had slight hints of green just made me fall in love with it...and just like Sea Sprite...it stayed on for a good amount of time! Hydra is a darker blue with a light indigo hue to it. It was a close call between this one and Naga on which would be my favorite out of the three. Sea Bitch. Just....the name...I love it. It is a true purple color and looks great on as well.

And here we have the last two of my collection. These are Foul Play and Into the Night. Foul Play is such a lovely color. It's a blue toned teal and ugh. It is my overall favorite and I wear this one all the time. Whenever I can't decide what to do with my nails...this is my go to nail polish. Into the Night is a dark purple with some shimmer and if your into the really dark colors for nail polish, then this is a good one to go with.

Over all, I really like the nail polishes and I will most likely buy more in the near future!

Now onto my favorite part...eye shadow!! Strobe Cosmetics mainly has loose eye shadows which I love and recently they came out with pressed eye shadows for the fall!

Now here we have the first set I had purchased from them, which is the Gypsy of the Sea eye shadow collection, and when I actually bought it, I bought the entire collection which had came with the nail polishes as well. The eye shadows and the nail polishes do match which I really liked. I typically use neutral shades but I wanted to add a pop of color somewhere in my make up collection!

Here we have the first three colors of the collection. There is Shellbound, Seashorse, and Neptune's Bounty. Shellbound is a nice true coral...and my picture does it no justice...oops. But it is a really nice light coral color which has actually looked pretty nice when it was going from late summer to early fall. Next is Seahorse and just like the nail polish, it is a basic yellow which would help complete any rainbow look thats for sure! Then there is Neptune's bounty is a nice light green and I have yet to really use this one yet but I love the color and after swatching it, I'm definitely buying this one for my sister for Christmas! Like all the eye shadows from they, they are super pigmented and the color payoff is wonderful!

There three are the others for this lovely collection. The is Aqua Babe, Sea Glass, and Urchin. Aqua Babe is a nice light blue compared to Sea Glass, which is a darker blue and these both match the nail polishes really well. Urchin is a nice rich purple color. Now these three I have yet to really use but I plan to in the future. But when I swatched them, they were super pigmented and I'm just so amazed at how great they look on the skin.

Now these are some of my more neutral shades that I use all the time. First we have Imamachinest, which is named after the artist Alister Dippner and I had first only purchased this one because of the name but I have come to really love the color. It is a shimmery yellow copper color and I just love it! Next is Mojave, which is a red copper color. I actually love pairing Mojave and Imamachinest together. Then we have Sunbeam, and this is a a light peachy gold...it's just a real nice simple nudish color. And this one is my go to when it comes to traveling. I love the fact its a loose eye shadow so I don't actually have to worry about my eye shadow breaking while it's in my bag! ((because it always happened before when I carried a pressed eye shadow pallet around))

Here are my two other neutral shade. Arabian nights is a nice light gold color and looks really great any day, and it is also my other go to eye shadow. Last we have Coyote which this is a nice light brown color with I love wearing with either Sunbeam or Arabian Nights...and I just love the name for it.

Now to the pressed eye shadows. I purchased these when they went up for preorder and there were seven all together...but I decided to go with four of them. I bought Fortune Cookie, Catfight, Timber Wolf, and Rhapsody.

First up is Fortune Cookie. This one is my favorite one out of the four. It is a nice light brown and the size is pretty big for it...plus they each come with a little mirror~ With these...a little goes a long way so make sure you tap your brush after swiping it across. Trust me...these bad boys are worth the bucks you pay for them.

Next is Catfight. It is good gold color and I'm a sucker for the gold eye shadows. I haven't used this one too much yet but I do love the color and the color payoff is definitely worth it.

Now we have Timber Wolf, which is a dark brown color and probably my second favorite out of the four pressed eye shadows. I tend to use this one with Fortune Cookie a lot.

This last one is Rhapsody, which is a deep mahogany red and looks so pretty when used with Fortune Cookie...which the creator of Strobe Cosmetics actually did a wonderful look with them and showed on her instagram which I will actually show because I love it so much
((I didn't take nor do I own this photo...I just really love how the creator, Chloe Tea, used the two eye shadows~))

And here I showed the two I like to wear...which isn't the best to see because I had to camera focused on the eye shadow names...but the color payoff is great. They are bold and seriously super pigmented. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Strobe Cosmetics is my favorite eye shadow brand and I also just love the creator too because she is just a sweet heart <3

BH Cosmetics & True or False Lashes

So recently in the past few months I have been ordering and trying some new cosmetic products. Two of those brands have been BH Cosmetics which sells all kinds of products and also True or False Lashes which sells false eyelashes.

The first products I bought from BH Cosmetics were their recently new Creme Luxe Lipstick.

I bought three of them and I went with lighter colors because I cannot rock the dark lip look at all..((.and I had to face that fact every time I had a dance competition and had to wear a deep red lipstick.))
The first one is called Forever nude and it goes on pretty smoothly but doesn't stay on my lips too well. The color is great and my lips are indeed nude with it on!
The second one is Naked Peach and it goes on and stays on well. Its an opaque peach color and it actually looks very nice, it isn't too too orange.
The third one and my favorite one is Tea Time. One, I love the name. Two, the color looks great. It isn't too pink its a nice light pink and it just goes on so nicely. It stays on nicely and just looks so good with a coat of lip gloss on as well.

The next product I bought from BH Cosmetics is a 10 piece brush set!
These brushes are so soft and just look so colorful and pretty...ugh I love them so far. I have yet to use all of them yet, but the ones I have used work so great. I really don't have much to say other than that...but I do love them so much already. ((and the case is striped! Hello! I love stripes!))

The next item I bought from them were some false eyelashes.
I chose these two because I loved the way Sassy looked in photos and I picked Foxy mainly because Foxes are one of my favorite animals and so I just go them...and I do that a lot. I have worn Sassy a few times and I got a lot of compliments from them and I just loved them. I have yet to wear Foxy, but those are planned to be use soon.

Now from True or False lashes I bought three sets of eyelashes.

Now the Gypsy lashes and the Caked lashes came in a "care package" set for zip when I bought the Twiggy lashes. I just got them in today and they look great! I fell in love with the packaging for the Caked lashes because it's like a box with a built in mirror. With True or False Lashes, all the lashes are typically $1.50, and the Caked lashes are $6.50 and I totally understand why now.

But I am glad I got them in the "care package"...because I would not spend $6.50 on lashes when the others were much better priced! But I do love how they look...I'm very excited to try them out! ((And I'm keeping the packaging from the Caked lashes for ever...I'll try to make it be useful for something else)).

Over all I'm very happy with what I've bought...some more pricey then I care to spend, but over all please because every cent was worth it!!

Varsity Voxbox From Influenster

So recently I have received the Varsity voxbox! And with all my excited on getting my first voxbox I waited impatiently but here it is!
Of course right as I opened the box, right on the top was the lovely little card as shown above. The card has a description of the items inside the box, along with their retail price.

The first item was samples of Clearasil's Daily Clear Refreshing Superfruit wash, and coupons were included, which will definitely be used. I used this right when I woke up the next morning and I loved it. I loved it more than the face wash I've been using. My face felt nice and fresh after a night of sleep, so I'm glad I received more than one sample! O! And the scent! I love love loooved how it smelled. It was a blend of raspberries and cranberries and it was yuuuuummy smelling. I'm also very excited because it has Vitamin B3 and it has acne medication in it to help prevent blemishes. ((Price: $6.49))

The next item was a 6 oz. bag of Airheads Xtremes Bites (candy! yum!!) I looove candy so this was my favorite part of the box! They taste just like the original Airheads Xtremes but these are bite size and they are thicker than the strips. The bag says "perfect to share with others" but it's more like "perfect snack for me, myself & I while watching Supernatural". I'm definitely going out and buying more of these! ((Price $1.69))
The next item in this box was a set of Nail Dress from Kiss and it is a limited edition. Now I'm not a fan of pink nails on myself, but I have used this product before and I loved it. They are easy to put on and theres not hassle of waiting for your nails to dry, plus they lasted longer than regular nail polish last on me. And they have lotsof different colors, designs and so on, and theyre available at Walgreens! ((Price $6.99))
Next in  the box, was a NYC Big Bold Plumping & Shine Lip Gloss. This came in the shade Pleasantly Plump Pink Rose Veloute. I loved the color and loved how it looked it. However, it felt a little sticky, and made my lips feel a tad heavy. I think it'd be good when going out, but not something for everyday. ((Price $3.99))
The last item was a sample of Tide Pods. It came in the scent of spring meadow and there was one pac capsule in the package. I have yet to use it and try it out but I am fond of how Tide products smell, so hopefully I'll like this and it'll be easier than a big ol' bottle! The card also describes it to be a 3 in 1 detergent! It has detergent, stain fighters, and brightener all in one. I look forward to trying it out the next time I do my laundry! ((No price listed))

And than concludes all that was inside the Varsity Voxbox. ((This was my first post on this blog and I'm planning on continuing using it for sort of reviews and that kind of stuff. Maybe include hauls and all that!))
